Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 June 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the FarmerFinder platform. By accessing or using FarmerFinder, or by ticking the acceptance box on registration or enquiry, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use this platform.
1. About Us
FarmerFinder is a trading name of ADFC Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (the "Company", "we", "us", "our"). Our platform is operated at farmerfinder.co.uk.
We connect customers who require outdoor and agricultural services ("Customers") with self-employed farmers and contractors ("Farmers") who offer such services.
ADFC Consulting Ltd is not a contractor, employment agency or labour provider. We do not employ, supervise, direct or control any Farmer listed on this platform.
2. Our Role as an Intermediary
FarmerFinder acts solely as an advertising and introduction service. We are not party to any contract, agreement or arrangement made between a Customer and a Farmer. Any contract for services is made directly between the Customer and the Farmer on terms they agree between themselves.
We do not guarantee that any Farmer is available, suitable, qualified, insured or licensed for any particular task. The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to the contract between the Customer and the Farmer, not to the introduction service we provide.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this platform. By using FarmerFinder you confirm that you are 18 or over and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. The platform is intended for use within the United Kingdom only.
4. Farmer Listings and Profile Accuracy
Farmers are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of the information they provide in their profiles, including services offered, areas covered, qualifications, insurance and contact details. ADFC Consulting Ltd does not independently verify any information provided by Farmers.
We reserve the right to remove or suspend any listing at our sole discretion, including where we have reason to believe a listing is misleading, fraudulent or in breach of these terms, without notice and without liability.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Before instructing any work, Customers are solely responsible for:
- Verifying that the Farmer holds appropriate public liability insurance for the work to be undertaken;
- Checking that the Farmer holds any licences, certifications or qualifications required by law (e.g. chainsaw certificates, pesticide licences, waste carrier registration);
- Agreeing the scope, price, payment terms and timescales directly with the Farmer before work commences;
- Ensuring they have relevant planning permissions, neighbour consents or landowner approvals where required;
- Satisfying themselves of the Farmer's suitability, competence and safety record for the task.
FarmerFinder strongly recommends obtaining a written quotation and confirming all terms in writing before any work begins. ADFC Consulting Ltd is not responsible for any loss, injury, damage or payment dispute arising from a failure to carry out these checks, or from a Customer's failure to verify that a Farmer holds adequate insurance for the specific works instructed. Customers proceed entirely at their own risk.
6. Farmer Responsibilities
Farmers listed on FarmerFinder must at all times:
- Hold adequate public liability insurance for every service they offer, and be able to produce evidence of such insurance on request;
- Possess all licences, certifications and qualifications required by law for the services they advertise;
- Comply with all applicable legislation, including but not limited to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, and employment law;
- Provide accurate and truthful information in their profile and promptly update it if circumstances change;
- Deal with Customers honestly, professionally and in good faith;
- Not misrepresent their skills, experience, qualifications, availability or insurance coverage.
Farmers who do not meet these requirements must not register on or continue to use the platform. By creating a profile, a Farmer confirms ongoing compliance with these requirements.
7. No Liability for Services, Payment or Insurance
FarmerFinder is an introduction and advertising platform only. Once a Customer and Farmer have been introduced through the platform, any agreement for the provision of services — including the scope of works, price, payment terms, timing and method of payment — is made solely and directly between the Customer and the Farmer. ADFC Consulting Ltd is not a party to that agreement and has no involvement in, oversight of, or responsibility for it whatsoever.
No liability for services: ADFC Consulting Ltd accepts absolutely no responsibility or liability of any kind for:
- The provision, non-provision, quality, safety, fitness for purpose, timeliness or legality of any services agreed between a Customer and a Farmer;
- Any failure by a Farmer to commence, complete or perform any agreed works to any standard;
- Any act, omission, negligence or default of any Farmer in the performance (or non-performance) of services;
- Any dispute between a Customer and a Farmer regarding the works, price, payment or any other matter;
- Any personal injury, illness, death, property damage, financial loss or any other loss or damage of any kind, whether direct, indirect, consequential, special or punitive, arising from or in connection with services arranged through the platform.
No liability for payment: ADFC Consulting Ltd has no involvement in, and accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for, any payment made or not made between a Customer and a Farmer. All financial arrangements, including pricing, invoicing, payment disputes and refunds, are entirely a matter between the Customer and the Farmer.
Insurance — Farmer obligation: Every Farmer listed on FarmerFinder must, as a strict condition of using the platform, hold adequate and appropriate public liability insurance (and any other insurance required by law or good practice) that covers all services they advertise and undertake. Farmers must be able to produce documentary evidence of their insurance on request by a Customer or by ADFC Consulting Ltd.
Insurance — Customer responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of each Customer to satisfy themselves, before instructing any works, that the Farmer holds insurance that is sufficient in type, scope and level of cover for the specific job to be undertaken. Customers must not rely on FarmerFinder to verify a Farmer's insurance and must make their own independent enquiries.
No liability for insured or uninsured works: ADFC Consulting Ltd accepts absolutely no liability whatsoever in connection with any works undertaken — whether or not the Farmer holds adequate or any insurance at the time of those works. This includes, without limitation, any claim arising from an uninsured Farmer, an under-insured Farmer, an insurer's refusal to meet a claim, or any gap in insurance coverage. The Customer assumes all risk associated with instructing a Farmer whose insurance they have not independently verified.
Statutory rights: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our own negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.
Where ADFC Consulting Ltd is found liable to you for any matter not excluded above, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Farmer listings are available on a subscription basis. The current pricing is £39.99 per year (approximately £3.33 per month), following a free first year for new registrants. No card details are required during the free year.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You may cancel at any time through your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are given for unused time, except where required by law.
- We reserve the right to change our pricing. We will give at least 30 days' written notice of any price increase to existing subscribers. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel a subscription within 14 days of purchase. Exercise of this right must be notified via our contact page.
9. Reviews and User Content
Customers may submit reviews and ratings of Farmers. By submitting a review you confirm that:
- The review is based on your genuine, first-hand experience of the Farmer's services;
- It is accurate and honest to the best of your knowledge;
- It does not contain defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, harassing or unlawful content;
- You grant ADFC Consulting Ltd a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the review on the platform and in related marketing materials.
We reserve the right to remove any review that we reasonably believe to be defamatory, fraudulent, abusive or in breach of these terms. Reviews represent the personal opinion of the reviewer only. We do not verify reviews and accept no liability for their content.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use the FarmerFinder platform to:
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent information;
- Harass, abuse, threaten or intimidate any person;
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party;
- Scrape, copy or reproduce platform content without our prior written consent;
- Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security feature of the platform;
- Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- Solicit, collect or misuse other users' personal data.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate access for any user who breaches these provisions, and to take legal action where appropriate.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this platform, including text, images, logos, graphics and software, is owned by or licensed to ADFC Consulting Ltd and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works without our express prior written permission.
Farmers retain ownership of the content they upload (profile photos, descriptions, etc.) but grant us a licence to display that content on the platform for so long as their profile remains active.
12. Privacy and Cookies
Your use of this platform is subject to our Privacy & Cookie Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using this platform you confirm that you have read and understood that policy.
12A. Marketing and Service Updates Consent
When you register your interest on our platform or submit an enquiry to a Farmer, you agree that ADFC Consulting Ltd may contact you by email for the purposes of:
- Notifying you when trusted local Farmers become available in your area;
- Providing updates about new services, features and coverage areas on the FarmerFinder platform;
- Sending service-related communications such as enquiry confirmations and review prompts;
- Occasionally asking for your feedback to help us improve the platform.
This consent is recorded at the point you submit your details (including a timestamp). We will not overwhelm your inbox — only meaningful, relevant updates.
You may withdraw this consent and unsubscribe from marketing and service-update emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us via our contact page. Transactional communications required to operate the service (such as enquiry confirmations) will continue where necessary.
We will never sell your email address or personal data to any third party.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices of any third-party sites and the inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.
14. Force Majeure
ADFC Consulting Ltd shall not be in breach of these terms or liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, civil unrest, pandemic, government action, power failure or failure of the internet.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint or dispute, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance via our contact page so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally before resorting to formal proceedings.
Where you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or other alternative dispute resolution schemes.
16. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found by a court to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Changes to These Terms
ADFC Consulting Ltd may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email or by a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of FarmerFinder after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept the revised terms, you must cease using the platform.
18. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact ADFC Consulting Ltd via our contact page.
